Freedoms Trail 2018-2019 Introduction to BraveHearts
BraveHearts provides equine-assisted activities and therapies with teams of expert staff, dedicated volunteers and therapy horses located at their Harvard and Poplar Grove facilities. In addition to serving children and adults, BraveHearts provides innovative services to meet the needs of our military veterans and their families. By utilizing a faculty of national experts and through its innovative programming, education and research, BraveHearts had become a center of excellence within the therapeutic industry.
BraveHearts is having trouble finding room to hold some of their many programs during the summer, so I.S.C.A.R. is raising money to build Freedom's Trail.
Freedom's Trail is a way for riders at BraveHearts to connect to their horse(s) on a more intense level than previously possible. Freedom's Trail requires advanced riding techniques and will have challenging obstacles that will require full cooperation between the rider and the horse resulting in a closer relationship. In addition, the experience will provide a fun and unique experience for both the rider and the horse.
Freedom's Trail Three Levels
Freedom's Trail is designed so it will be able to be used by riders of all skill levels to include beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Advanced Rider - The advanced rider program will be out side and have the difficult obstacles build into the landscape as well as all the intermediate and beginner portable obstacles.
Intermediate - The intermediate rider program can be done either outside or inside with the portable obstacles brought into the arena when necessary. If the program is done outside, an alternate route will be used from the advanced riders so as to avoid the difficult landscape obstacles.
Beginner - The beginner program is also supported either outside or inside. When the program is done inside, only basic obstacles are used. Similarly when the beginner program is outside, the same course as the intermediate course is used but the harder obstacles are removed.
